Cat Trick is a film production company based in San Francisco focused on creating original work with a strong sense of visual style for a diverse range of clients. Nick Berger, Ryan Malloy, and Rory Fraser met at Stanford in the MFA Documentary program, and formed Cat Trick in 2011. They each continue their own work as documentary filmmakers.
NICK BERGER became a specialist in stop-motion animation through is work on "The Klutz Book of Animation" and a squirrel enthusiast through his work on the documentary "Nutkin's Last Stand." He makes documentaries about surreal characters and environments and his stop-motions focus on the clever use of materials.
RYAN MALLOY worked as an urban planner in his previous life and he continues to explore urban environments through his documentaries. He's also been known to turn the camera on himself, exposing both the humor and challenges of daily life.
RORY FRASER has made a number of short documentaries and music videos, and tends to choose subjects with inherent visual strength like lawn bowling clubs, old hat shops, and wooden sailboat yards. He is from Tennessee. www.roryfraser.com
